The racing genius does what it takes — out-drive, out-muscle, whatever. Intimidates opponents with skill and on-track aggression, but he’s not the dominant force he once was. Broke his rt thumb testing in 11-05, forcing him to miss more Nat’ls. Introduced the now standard stand-up style to SNX. The racing genius does what it takes — out-drive, out-muscle, whatever. He will be attempting a four-peat at WX 2004.
- Morgan finally claimed gold after taking silver in both 1999 and 2000. The most dominant rider in the history of snocross has won 47 of 80 WSA National finals from 1997-98 through 2000-01 and 8 of 10 points titles. Highly coveted as a free agent, Morgan signed with Ski-Doo for 2001-02.
Quote:
“On returning from injury: “I’ve had a lot of luck before this year and I’ve never hurt myself badly, but you can’t think about the injury when you’re out there racing. You can’t be tentative, you can’t be careful. There’s no sense in being out there if you are. I guarantee you I won’t be slow.”"
“On finally winning at WX: “I kind of closed the book on that. I felt like I should’ve won the first three years. It was more of a relief than anything. Everyone knows it’s the biggest race of the year and there was so much pressure to do well.” “
